What type of license do I need to open a video rental store?

I was thinking about opening a video rental store from home that would compete with redbox and other video rental businesses like it. What type of license do I need in order to do this? Do I have to purchase movies from a distributor, or can I purchase them from stores like Walmart ? (or online)

1. The type of license will vary from city to city and state to state. Go to your local courthouse and ask at the information desk. You can purchase movies from anywhere ... doesn't matter. But, if you can find a distributor, it will be cheaper than Wal-Mart. You might find some good bargains on EBAY.
